The Idyllwild Community Center exists to enhance the quality of life for every resident of the hill communities and visitors to the area, by creating vibrant recreational, cultural, and social opportunities for all ages at multiple locations in the beautiful village of Idyllwild.
A Compelling Vision
Community-based timeline
In a carefully planned and well-articulated design process, the Community Center property is becoming the heart and soul of the Idyllwild town. Step by step, as resources become available, the programs, facilities, and activities are evolving to serve the needs of people of all ages, interests, and abilities.
What's completed so far.
An 18-station par course with walking paths along Strawberry Creek. An imaginative playground with age-appropriate play areas. A gazebo for birthday parties and small group gatherings. A dog park, skate park, and a pickle ball court on the Idyllwild Pines Camp property.
What's being built.
We are currently engaged in site development with landscaped parking, walkways, and the infrastructure for the Idyllwild Community Center building. Outdoor amphitheater for musical and theater events. The ICC, the community's place to come together in a multi-use facility for activities and programs that serve the needs and interests of our diverse and deserving citizens is phase 2 of our project.
What's in our future as funding permits.
In the future, we look forward to be building the Community Center building along with the recreation center/gymnasium and an indoor pool.
